Have you ever felt robots don’t listen to you?
In order for robots and people to enjoy natural conversations, robots need to have the capabilities to bring together sounds, images and data in other forms to engage in “multimodal communications.” MOMO is a new type of robot that studies robots’ behaviors by combining Preferred Networks’ cutting-edge AI technology and Yukai Engineering’s experience in robot development.
Yukai Engineering developed the prototype as part of Preferred Networks’ AI project that has been selected for New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO)’s “2015 Core Technology Development of Next-Generation AI and Robots – Multimodal Communications Research and Development.”
