Secom’s and Odakyu’s Collaborative Smart Living Services to Feature Yukai’s BOCCO

Yukai Engineering’s family communication robot, BOCCO, will be an integral part of the smart living services that Odakyu Electric Railway Co. Ltd., and Secom Co. Ltd., will collaboratively deliver to improve the quality of life for seniors, families and all other individuals they serve. BOCCO is currently used as a communication service tool in Secom’s senior care services in a Suginami neighborhood of Tokyo. Odakyu, which has provided grocery delivery, home maintenance and other types of services to the residents in the communities along the Odakyu Line, will now work with Secom to offer additional services to area residents. As a first step, Odakyu aims to offer its existing services, along with community information, via BOCCO, starting in the summer of 2020. Odakyu’s and Secom’s collaboration is intended to harness the power of IoT to enrich people’s lives.
