YUKAI’s New Robot Making Kit, ‘Haburashi Robot,’ Can Help Children Learn the ABCs of Robot Programming

YUKAI Engineering announced that it will release “Haburashi Robot,” a robot making kit for children, in late July.

The space shuttle-shaped robot has a haburashi (“toothbrushes” in Japanese) attached at the bottom. The vibration from the motor gets transferred to the brushes and moves the robot forward.

Haburashi Robot is easy to make and helps young children enjoy learning about the basics of robot programming. For older children, we have “konashi,” a physical computing toolkit, available so they can attach it to the robot and control it from smartphones.

Yukai Engineering developed Haburashi Robot as a commercial product in collaboration with ImagineBots LLC, the maker of BristleBots.
