TOKYO (June 20, 2016) – Yukai Engineering has reached an agreement with Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute International (ATR) to collaborate for the project. ATR Nihon Venture Capital Cooperation will provide Yukai with 1 million yen in funding.
An improved BOCCO will be able to not only carry on human-like conversations with its users but also help users maintain healthy relationships with their loved ones by providing information useful to understanding each other’s emotions.
By combining forces with ATR, Yukai hopes to promote use of robots as a normal part of everyday life around the world.
