Petit Qoobo Receives Red Dot Design Award 2021

2021/4/12 News

The petit tailed robot, Petit Qoobo, has been awarded the prestigious Red Dot Design Award.
Petit Qoobo, a robotic pillow that wags in response to the user’s touch and its surrounding soundscape, was selected by Red Dot as a winner in the Product Design category among thousands of entries from over 60 countries.

Back in 2019, the original Qoobo also received the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2019 out of over 5,000 entries. Since 1955, the Red Dot Design Award’s expert juries have established the “Red Dot” distinction as one of the world’s most sought-after awards for quality design.

Petit Qoobo is a new sibling of Qoobo, Yukai Engineering’s popular robotic pillow that wags its tail in response to one’s touch. Petit Qoobo, which is one size smaller than Qoobo, reacts not only to the user’s stroking but also to the surrounding natural soundscape – be it the sound of clapping or one’s voice. In addition, when cuddling Petit Qoobo, the user will be able to hear its “heartbeat.” We hope that this little one, reminiscent of skittish, young animals, will provide users with comfort and enrich their life.
